Curves are gross. Square is sexy.

Melty is the new black.

I disagree. Boxes were cool in the 80's, we've moved on and most new Benz's look goooood.

I really don't like them all that much, the C-Class is fine the rest just isn't classy enough.

I think the previous generation C-class was the happy medium.
That to me is the best looking Mercedes Mercedes has ever designed. Most of their other designs are too melty or boxy or too pointy.

This. All of this.

I has all the pointy and boxy and melty in the right amounts and proportions.

They also all look the same.

That looks so wrong, the headlights are too large and too rounded.

Ah the Flex, best damn road trip car I've ever been in.

Melty is the old Taurus.

I meant the hood ornament and the grille, the only redeeming features.

Raiders-of-the-Lost-Car Melty!

Exactly.

I loved the looks of my W124. Now, it looks as though Mercedes has hired Bangle to wreck the looks of their range.

Do NOT speak ill of my '97 SHO. It had a lot of good points ....
![]() 02/08/2015 at 22:50 |

I'm sure it had, but it did look a bit melty.

Mercedes can't do retro within their own brand because all the cars they'd need to reach back to have swastikas on them.
So they have to steal retro styling from others and that ovoid Taurus sold well so they chose it.

Lots of ovals. Even the radio. But the tires were round.

Amen.

Even though I really, really like the new C Class I still am in love with my 2014.

Went roughly from Detroit to Charleston in a Flex about a year after we first got it. Really wasnt that bad for a 14 hour drive. And leg room, god the leg room, LEG ROOM FOR MILES.

Longest road trip we ever did in ours was about two weeks. We covered (and by covered, I do mean actually spent time in) 16 states, and drove 3300 miles. It was awesome. And yeah, space and comfort for days. Literally.

Lol melty butts. But I still think they're all sexy and classy as hell. Pictures do none of them justice.

I've seen the S-Class, CLA and A-Class in the flesh, can't say I really like them. The C-Class is melty in the right way, that I like.

I get what you mean, especially with the CLA, in just not a fan of that car. But I love the A, and the S of course is very classy. The S coupe has no melty butt though, it's quite nice.
